The Raintree Lodge is an award-winning eco-tourism destination located in the picturesque rainforested hills above the city of Suva. Away from the madding crowd, it is a peaceful place to stay when visiting the capital. Once a budget and backpacker resort, the Raintree has been upgraded to provide a more upmarket style of accommodation, with private timber lodges overlooking the lake, with their own facilities, tea and coffee making, small living area and private verandah. Pathways meander through the tropical surroundings down to a central bar and restaurant, as well as the reception area. Local business people and expatriate residents also visit the Raintree for lunch or dinner, and the Raintree is an ideal venue for wedding groups, office get-togethers or birthday celebrations.

  •   Raintree Lodge is about 12 minutes from Suva, and 15 minutes from the Nausori airport.
  •  Located by Colo-i-Suva Rainforest Park, Suva
  •  Accommodates up to 82 pax, ranging from dorms, private double rooms, twin rooms and bunk rooms (all with share facilities) to 4 detached bures (queen size beds + private facilities)
  •  Standard rates range from approx FJ$25 per person in the dorm to FJ$180 per detached bure. Rates include Fiji government taxes. Rates need to be verified with the resort. This is an indication only

Dining and Entertainment

There is a delightful open-sided restaurant and bar at the Raintree Lodge, which overlooks a lake surrounded by picturesque raintrees. The menu serves a pleasant variety of meal options, include local Fijian curries, fish dishes, hamburgers and more.

Activities and Sightseeing

Raintree Lodge is located adjacent to the Colo-i-Suva Forest park, so guests have the opportunity of hiking, bushwalking, lake fishing and birdwatching. It is a peaceful, serene location and an ideal base for further sightseeing trips to Suva without having to be located in the bustling capital. There is a pool table between the bar and reception. DVD movies and Sky TV is available nightly by the bar. The restaurant is on the opposite side of the bar, overlooking the lake.
